The Depot (200 S. Jones) will be hosting the closing reception for Ron Tarver: The Long Ride Home. A series of works illustrating the enduring heritage of Black cowboys. Native Spirits wine will be available as a refreshment and will be selling Ron Tarver's book of his photos of the same title.
Downtown Art and Frame (115 S Santa Fe) is hosting local artist Bill Boettcher, featuring several sculptures.
Gray Owl Coffee (223 E Gray St) will be featuring local artist & regular of the shop Cat Bishop with her art practice Good Grief Art. Cat’s work will be up through December 2024 and can be viewed and purchased during business hours daily from 7am-6pm. Gray Owl Coffee will be open October 11th from 6-9pm for the opening reception. Due to Gray St. construction, parking for Gray Owl Coffee can be found in the paid public lot just South of the entrance across Gray St. During artwalk hours, this lot is free of charge! Their front door can be accessed from either Crawford or Peters.
Guestroom Records (125 E Main St) is hosting a Halloween Party! Featuring Animal Body Part, Psychic Baths, and Ganx. @Guestroom on Instagram with a photo of your costume in-store to Enter a Costume Contest.
Norman Regional Primary Care Main Street (119 E Main St) will be featuring Healthy Living Norman tables in front of and outside their building. We will be highlighting our robust Art Program with artwork by our instructors and students on display, plus artwork for sale in the clinic lobby. Artwork may include paintings (acrylic, watercolor, oil), pottery, fused glass, resin art, jewelry, felting, and embroidery. Healthy Living Norman offers more than 50 art and craft classes each month for adults ages 50 and up at the Adult Wellness & Education Center.
MAINSITE Contemporary Art (122 E. Main) celebrates the opening reception for Visions: 3 shows featuring exhibits All About Hope by artist Ginna Dowling, Flowing Glass Creations by artist Michael Givel, and Perspectives by artist Angelika Tietz.
MAINSITE also hosts the The Oklahoma Collection, featuring photographs by Karen Paul in the Library Gallery.
Main Street Photo & Video (131 N. Porter): will be featuring The Grand Canyon Experience (an immersive 360 photo exhibit by John Thomas) Earlier this year Main Street Photo-Video owner John Thomas took a trip to the Grand Canyon and took several cameras along with him. The exhibit will feature a 20 foot long 360 degree experience of Imperial Point at sunrise as well as photography from both the North and South rims of the Canyon taken on a mix of film and digital cameras.
Main Street Pottery (410 E. Main) will be celebrating their 2nd anniversary with a giveaway as well as pumpkin, ghost, or leaf painting.
Mister Robert Furniture (109 E. Main) will be featuring Coach V's 212 Candles and original art.
OSC-Press (315 E Main) is hosting the opening of Fireflies yet shine : on Death and Dark Matter. This is a solo exhibition featuring works by OKC artist Alicia Smith. These works are a continuation of Alicia's project, Toci, which follows a group of Aztec women learning how to live on Mars. Through this project, Alicia combines her own futuristic narrative with ancient mythologies. In this exhibition, she explores the mysteries of life, death and the cosmos. The opening will have refreshments and live printing.
Resonator (325 E. Main) is proud to present an exhibition by resident Art Therapy instructor, Soni Parsons! Soni Parsons is an accomplished acrylic painter and mixed media artist known for her vibrant use of colors, textures, and words in her artwork.
Sergio’s Italian Bistro (104 E. Gray) will host live music from Stephen Baker from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Standard (315 E Gray St) will have live music from The Bandard 2 starting at 6pm. Stop by for good eats, good drinks, and good people!
STASH (412 E. Main) will host featured artist Natalie Miller as well as their final makers' market of 2024. Live music from Elizabeth Wise, a soloist playing bluesy tunes from 7-9.
Studio JBerg (229 E. Main) will host Callie Estes and Olivia Means as rotating guest artists. They will be in store through the end of the year.
Uncanny Art House (106 E. Main) is hosting an exhibition of new media works by KT Duffy, featuring large-scale sculptures and projection mapping; and an exhibition by emerging artist Saray Suarez, exploring themes of identity and cultural heritage.
The Well is hosting Just 4 Kids Harry Potter as October's book theme. Shop from young local artists & makers at the Young Innovators Market, see life-sized Harry Potter characters, and wand-making & games with an author booking signing of "Broccoli! It's My Favorite Vegetable" by Donna M Guary.
