From Shahan: “The images within my artwork are often attempts to materialize concepts or dreams I’ve had that I can’t quite verbalize. That said, the message is often secondary within my work as I feel art should be left up to the interpretation of the viewer. The artists Hieronymus Bosch, Albrecht Durer, Anders Zorn, Virgil Finlay, and Paul Landacre among countless others have all been large influences on my work. Whether it be a screen-print, a woodcut, or a painting - a strong sense of design, composition, and value contrast are all key components to how I create an image.” and will have fire dancing performances throughout the evening.
