Announcing : The Second Ever monthly NMF Wine Share!
(must be 21 years of age or older to participate)
Look for more information here as soon as we have it!
Start with “your” bottle of wine. Then we’ll add Door Prizes, cheese, crackers, olives, cool people, more cool people, and fun! :)
…all as part of the Norman Arts Council’s 2nd Friday Art Walk.
Want more details?
Well of course you do!
Here are some frequently asked questions that have been infrequently asked one time by me. Go!
What is a wine share?
It’s a cool shindig that goes like this. Every 2 persons bring 1 bottle of wine as admission plus 2 glasses from home. We open them all, put them in a row on a table, and then you get to try small servings of all kinds of different wines. Fun!
What kind of wine should I bring?
Hmm… that’s a good one. For this first event let’s limit it to American wines. North, Central, or South. No European or Aussie wine for this one!
What else is going on?
We’ll have snacks. Yummy snacks. Snacks that go well with wine… like cheese, crackers, and olives. We’ll have a tip jar if you want to help us pay for them. Anything extra… goes straight to the festival coffers.
Who will be there?
Cool people like me and you! Woweee!
Can I win something?
Yes. Yes you can! Yes you can win something. We’ll have some small door prizes, like posters and leftover stuff from NMF’s past. We’ll have some kind of random drawing, and we’ll also give something to the person that brings the coolest looking wine bottle - as non-democratically judged by a team member.
Do you have secret motives on all of this?
Well, kinda. For the first time ever we’re going to be offering 100 NMF4 VIP packages for sale. Details pending, but it will come with 2 special VIP only t-shirts, a similarly special poster, a place to get snacks and beverages during the fest while you chill out, and one extra warm extra fuzzy warm-fuzzy. We’ll talk very briefly about that, and take contact information to any interested parties.
Will much fun be had by all?
Yes.
When the wine share ends, is there something else I can do in the area?
Yes, all kinds of stuff! Downtown Norman is always fun/cool/hoppin’ on a Friday night, but every “2nd” Friday of the month it’s even better. All the art galleries stay open late and put up new displays. Everything’s free, and there’s all kinds of things to see.
Should I support The Arts in Norman by attending this event?
Yes.
