The Depot (200 S. Jones) will be hosting the closing reception for Extant: Indigenous Visions: an all indigenous artist showcase featuring Kristin Gentry, Tom Farris and Marwin Begaye in the North room.

Gallery 123 (123 E. Main, above Syrup) is excited to welcome you this June art walk and share all of their eclectic and traditional artworks. In their stairwell, they showcase an Up and Coming Artist. This quarter they have DeAun Olive who is sharing her watercolor masterpieces on canvas! Be sure to talk a slow walk up the stairs to admire the wide range of flora and fauna she captures in her paintings.
Jazz In June takes place in Andrews Park (201 W. Daws) Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15. Music begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 14 with King Cabbage Brass Band, with headliner Sungazer taking the stage at 9 p.m. just as art walk wraps up!
Legally Brewed (123 W. Main) features Billy Hensley in the taproom. A Chickasaw artist that incorporates history and tradition of the Chickasaw people in to his work. Hensley works mainly with acrylic paint, often using a variety of textures and striping techniques to create his beautiful works of art. Billy brings modern Chickasaw culture and artwork into the mainstream by creating paintings that incorporate native Chickasaw culture, history and the tradition of the Chickasaw people with unique techniques.
The Lore (220 S. Porter) will be having an author event and signing with local author Ryen Rowe for her new book The Witch and The Cowboy.
Magic Sad (120 E. Tonhawa), the home studio of Ruth Loveland, will be open for viewing and guest Bailey Hoffner of Bad French will be in residence doing silent pen portraits.
MAINSITE Contemporary Art (122 E. Main) celebrates Biophilia, a group exhibition that conjures nature with artists and scientists Hannah Harper, Jennifer Larsen, Grace Potter, Lauren Rosenfelt and Nick Czaplewski, PhD, with an artists reception in the middle of its run through July. Curated by Haley Prestifilippo, the artwork considers the frameworks through which we all interpret nature and is further explored with a series of events on top of the exhibition itself, including a plein air sketch session, poetry workshop, open mic, nature walk and more. It's all free and made possible through the support from Norman Arts Council, Pioneer Library System and Factory Obscura.
For all receptions, PLS will be on hand with activities in the theme of the exhibition for the whole family to enjoy. MAINSITE also hosts the opening of Love, Bianca, featuring illustrations by Bianca Barbaro in the Library Gallery.
Main Street Photo-Video (131 N. Porter) hosts Ghost Towns in Oklahoma, a photography exhibit by Jaydon Sims. Sims is an Oklahoma-based documentary and film photographer. He recently graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Photographic Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma where he was the photo editor for the on-campus newspaper. In 2023, Jaydon completed a five month portfolio project where he documented various ghost towns throughout Oklahoma.
Norman Regional Primary Care Clinic (119 E. Main) will host the Faces of Migraine Photography Exhibit during the 2nd Friday Art Walk. Migraines affect the lives of 15% of the population and are the second leading cause of global disability. Every migraine is different, and so is each Oklahoma Headache Center patient. The Faces of Migraine project highlights the significance of migraine headaches and the toll they take on the individual - at work, at home and in their personal lives. By showing real people suffering from migraine, the Norman Regional Foundation aims to advance awareness of this disease, raise funds to enhance the research, and ultimately provide relief to more people.
Opolis (113 N Crawford Ave) is open late for your post art walk munchies, serving up vegan food until midnight! They’ll also feature live music from Michael Todd & Kiara Day, Luke Rountree and AJ Harvey with an $8 cover starting at 8 p.m.
OSC-Press (315 E Main) features some work from its latest group show 3rd Orbit, along with Ruth Loveland’s series The Evening in Question Answers, new screen prints from Jared Power, Jenna Bryan and Eric Piper, as well as an interactive Self Portrait Station. Other featured artists include: Jawn Babbitt, Vincent Cialo, Katie Graham, Melissa Jacobs, KT Murray, MJ Phillips and Cody Wilson.
Red Dot Studio (406 W. Main) is having an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Artworks by Richard McKown, Michael Wilson, John Bruce and Nick Lillard will be on display. The open studio includes a sneak peak into Creaturealm Oklahoma’s immersive exhibit and an unveiling of Lillard’s newest creature, Carrie the Carrington Caterpillar.

Resonator (325 E. Main) present an amazing body of work by local painter J. Chris Johnson. Yearbook is a collection of paintings that was more than a year in the making. Based on the format of high school yearbooks, where the underclassmen alway used to get black and white photos instead of color, this exhibition features over 100 18” x 24” black and white portraits of people from a variety of sources— Some are friends, some are historical figures, some are statues, but all are people the artist believes deserve recognition.
This collection will fill their gallery walls to capacity — definitely a spectacle you won’t want to miss.
Sandalwood & Sage (322 E Main) hosts local artist Karen Chapman as their June Artist. She blends her love of nature with her love of photography in her beautiful photos and prints. Musical guests will be The Unpronounceable Irish Band from 7 to 9 p.m.
SCRATCH Kitchen & Cocktails (132 W. Main) features Corporeal Ceramics, a clay project run by public librarian and artist Lauren Panichelli. Their work focuses on the presentations of self in everyday life, emotional states, and memory.Their work in ceramics explores the absurdity and form of traditional forms and vessels.
Sergio’s Italian Bistro (104 E. Gray) will host live music from Lee Hernan from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
STASH (412 E. Main) is open with featured artist Lauren Spoon. As a writer, printmaker, and mother, Lauren’s artistic journey intertwines narrative, texture, and life’s cyclical nature. Her work in tree ring printing draws from the raw beauty of the natural world and the stories embedded within it. She finds her materials in the forgotten corners of nature, salvaging abandoned wood stumps. These stumps, once living parts of a tree, bear the scars and marks of time, weather, and environment. By reclaiming these pieces, she seeks to give them a second life, transforming them from remnants into sources of creation.
Studio JBerg (229 E. Main) will have Blooming Beauties, a series by Jenny Bergen as their feature this month.
Uncanny Alley (121 E. Main, enter through alley) will be hosting Nothing Left Except, a Dissociation group exhibition featuring sculptural works from Ivy Wilcox, BIRD DRUGS, and ut mutem. The gallery will also display new work from its co-op members Jennifer Burwell, Jesse Edgar, Dylan Johnson, Julius and Chase Spivey.
UP Together Venue (428 E. Main) host a group show called Global Majority: BIPOC Artist Exhibition.
The Well (210 James Garner) presents Just 4 Kids, featuring the Young Innovators Market; face painting, baked goods, skin care, pet products and more from young entrepreneurs in the Norman community. Pioneer Library System will also present kids activities, and there’s also book signings with authors Donna M. Gary and Eileen Hobbs.
